DATAtab is a modern statistics software that meets the highest standards in terms of data security, is operated on German servers and, of course, complies with the DSGVO guidelines. Which data is stored by DATAtab depends on whether the online statistics calculator or the online survey tool is used.
If you purchase a license, your name, password, email address and data required for payment will be collected in both cases.
When you analyze data with DATAtab, your data never leaves your device (PC). Data is not sent to a server for analysis, nor is it stored anywhere other than on your own device (even temporarily). Absolutely nothing about your data set (neither data nor analysis results) are seen by anyone but you.
DATAtab is programmed so that all calculations are performed directly in your web browser, i.e. on your PC, and not on an external server. Therefore, if you want to evaluate data and copy it into the DATAtab web app, the data is not sent to a server, but the calculations are performed immediately on your PC and displayed to you. Thus, your data for the calculations never leave your PC. It is theoretically possible to use DATAtab without an internet connection, an internet connection is only needed for the authentication of the user.
As described in the previous section, the data that you want to evaluate with DATAtab is not sent to our server and thus is not stored.
When you create a survey with DATAtab, the survey and the answers are temporarily stored on our servers in Germany. Of course, we comply with the DSGVO guidelines.
We thus store survey, form and application data (questions and answers) for you and provide tools for analyzing this data.
Survey responses are usually controlled and managed by the creator or sender. In these cases, DATAtab only processes these responses on behalf of the creator.
DATAtab has decided not to use any cookies from third-party providers such as Google Analytics. The only cookies that are set come from DATAtab and are used so that login data can be stored in the browser if required.
As a rule, web server log files are stored for two weeks and then automatically deleted. We do not pass on this data, but cannot exclude the possibility that this data may be viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.
The legal basis, according to Article 6 (1) f DSGVO (lawfulness of processing), is that there is a legitimate interest in enabling the error-free operation of this website by collecting web server log files.
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
DATAtab does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in DATAtab. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
